Large Sterling Silver Locket custom made for Eno River Urn Co.
This intricate original hand drawn acrylic painting on watercolor paper depicts a Japanese Plum Tree with blossoms below full moon. The locket bezel is set in Sterling Silver and hangs from a double stranded 18" dot chain. Pendant measures 1.5 inches tall. Opens to hold memento. A plum blossom is the traditional Chinese symbol of hope, as the flowers bloom just as winter is ending, offering the promise of spring. Ms. Khalsa's work is inspired by Asian art and natural forms. Each piece is designed to communicate a quiet grace as well as rich cultural symbolism.
